This is my first album review, so I thought I'd start out with something metal.
Today I will be reviewing Nostradamus by Judas Priest, released in 2008
The first track, and the intro to the album is called Dawn Of Creation. It is very boring at first, but then you can see how it ties in to the next track
THEN, we get to the metal. Track 2 is called Prophecy. It's got a pretty nice guitar riff, but not as fast as I would like. And boy, Rob Halford at age 59... can STILL scream like he's 23!!!!!! They play this song live a lot, probably because it's GOOD! In closing "I AM NOSTRADAMUS!".
The third track is called Awakening and boy, was it BORING! It was only fifty-three seconds so there's not much to say. It being so short and so soft, is why it's boring.
The fourth track is called Revelations, and I'm soooooooo glad they put this song after Awakening, because it really picks up after the boringness of Awakening. It's very dark, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! 'Nuff said.
The fifth track is called The Four Horsemen. I've heard this song a million times, and I love it. I guess after a while a song just grows on me. The lyrics go well with the song it's introducing. "Peace on earth no more"
The sixth song on the album, and the first single, is called War. I can't tell you how many songs I know called War. However, this is better than the rest. It rocks!!! Watch the music video, it looks like Judas Priest playing Second Life.
The seventh song is called Sands Of Time, which ironically, was the name of the new Prince Of Persia movie. It's another intro. All I can say is it ties in with the next song.
The eighth song on the album is called Pestilence and Plague, it rocks. The chorus is in another language, but in the end they translate it into " Into temptation, in search of glory, the price we pay, the fall of man".
The ninth track marks the first time on the album two real songs come in a row. It's called Death. It is the longest song on disk 1, being that it is seven minutes thirty-four seconds long. The intro is gonna give me nightmares, and the song is haunting as hell. It rocks, and guess what, MORE SCREAMING!!!! YAY!!!!
The tenth song on the album is called Peace.It starts soft, then gets louder, then soft again, but it still finds time to tie into the next song.
The eleventh song is called Conquest, and after this, there are two more real songs (real meaning, not just intros). AND, it's the first real song less than five minutes, weighing in at four minutes, forty-two seconds. It rocks, and I like it, even though it's kinda slow.
The twelfth song on the album is called Lost Love, and it's probably the most boring song on the album. I really don't have much to say about it except... GET TO THE METAL!!!!!

Well, The Metal God, Rob Halford must've heard my prayers, because... I GOT METAL!!!!!
The thirteenth song on the album and the last song on disk one is called Persecution, and it rocks like hell!!!!!!! Just six minutes, thirty-four seconds of the metal gods answering my metal prayers.
Welcome back. Now I am going to review disk two of Nostradamus by Judas Priest.
The first track (14th overall on the album) is called Solitude, and being that it's called "Solitude", I expected it to be boring and...
I WAS RIGHT!!!! 'Nuff said.
The fifteenth track (second on disk 2) is called Exiled, and to me, it actually sounded like it came from Nostradamus himself. If they do a film, Rob Halford is playing Nostradamus! This was so heartfelt, and even thought it was slow, it rocked!!!
Again two real songs come in a row. The sixteenth track is called Alone and it is the second longest song on the album, at seven minutes, fifty seconds. It starts out boring, but then we get to the rock!!! Although it goes on and off, slow to rock... A LOT!!! But the best thing about this song... MORE ROB HALFORD SCREAMING!!!!
The seventeenth track is called Shadows In The Flame, and it's gonna give me nightmares. It's f**king scary!!!!!Then we get to some metal!!! The eighteenth song is called Visions, and it is f**king metal!!!! It has an awesome guitar riff, thanks to the Downing/Tipton crew (DAMN KK DOWNING FOR LEAVING!!!!!!!!!)
Oh, and the chorus is awesome!
The nineteenth track on the album is called Hope, and it's really boring!!! I don't have anything to say about it, sorry.
The twentieth song on the album is called new beginnings, and it's definitely the gayest song on the album (thanks a lot Rob Halford)! Just joking, but it does suck (but not as much as lost love)!!!
The twenty-first track on the album is called Calm Before The Storm, and it's another boring intro.
The twenty-second song on the album (and the second to last), is the title track, Nostradamus!
It rocks!!!! Believe me, it ROCKS!!!! And the best part, EVEN MORE ROB HALFORD SCREAMING!!
I love this song, and have since I heard it, except for one thing... the fifty-four second intro. I think they just made that to prolong the end of the song, because it's so boring. Without the intro, it would be five minutes, forty-five seconds! That's fifty-four seconds of boringness out!!! All criticism aside, this is an AMAZING SONG!!!
The last song on the album is called Future Of Mankind, and it is the longest song on the album at eight minutes, thirty seconds!!! This is probably one of the most metal songs on the album, not that the other songs aren't metal. It is a bit slow though. But this is one of the best songs on the album, even though it's extremely long. Does anyone else think they planned to make the last song on the album the longest?
