FTLD Holiday Double Feature Part 1: Forever The Living Dead - Survival Of The Illest review

Hey guys!
So I know it's been a while since I reviewed something, but I'm still recovering from that review of LIVE Backwards by JJ Demon. So I decided to do a holiday double feature on a band called Forever The Living Dead. Here's part 1, my review of Survival Of The Illest by Forever The Living Dead.
The first track is called Whomp Whomp! and it sounds like all their intros which sounds like Skrillex, but with other songs put in there, and honestly when that loud electronic part kicked in I was totally expecting a CALL 911 NOW!!! So yea, a pretty good way to start.
The second track is called Danger Ft. N!tro, and this is the second time I've heard N!tro rap this way, the first time being Fly Free by DDC, and what you don't suspect after this verse is an actual verse by the actual band (following Spanky's annoying as hell chorus on Fly Free), but then you hear "Yea it's green on the track so you all know what's up!" Pretty good verse by Green, and then Zero's verse is pretty good, but too much vocal effect so it doesn't even sound like him. And after the vocals end, you expect another "Fall back soldier you're always in danger" But no.
Track three is called Take The Picture, and it sounds unlike anything I've ever heard by FTLD ever! It sounds a little pop, and like something you'd hear on pop radio. Honestly, not something I'd listen to other than for the purpose of reviewing.
So, there was no track four on here for some reason, so skip directly to track five.
Track five is the first cover I've ever heard by FTLD and it's one of my favorite songs, "A Prophecy" by Asking Alexandria, and when it comes to screaming they weren't bad at all, but when it comes to singing, well, let me put it this way, I think this cover was more for the screaming, and the singing wasn't really the point of this cover, because the singing was not very good at all. I'll always prefer the Asking Alexandria version, but this wasn't a very bad version at all.
Track 6 is called Got No Time Fer My Haterz! with that annoying "Fer" you see a lot today, but the beat is amazing, and the lyrics are pretty sweet as well. The rap verses were really good, and to be honest, this song sounds like a better BOTDF.
Track 7 is a cover of a song called Down On Me by Jeremih Ft. 50 cent, And I think I probably like this version than the original cuz I hate 50 Cent. I really have nothing else to say about this song, except that they probably did more justice to this song than Jeremih and 50 cent did, because they did great.
Track 8 is called Why Do You Hate Me? Ft. Crunkasaurus and that first rap verse was amazing (the voice didn't sound like anyone from FTLD so I'll assume it's crunkasaurus), and for some reason after that verse it all of a sudden got slow, and then I think that's the chorus, then slow, then some awesome screaming, I think this song has everything, I've heard this song before, but I never realized how good it was until now. This song was faster at times than most FTLD songs too.
The ninth and final track on this is called Joker On Chronic ft. OhEmGee, and the chorus at the beginning, and OhEmGee verse was a great way to start the song and end the mixtape. Also I think Zero's first verse on this song, was his best on the whole mixtape. Also, did Green just insult Spanky of DDC for they way he screams? This mixtape ended in the perfect way.
Well, another review done, stay tuned on December first when I review the music video for FTLD's I Got Swag.

JJ Demon LIVE Backwards review UPDATE!!!

Okay, so now I know a few things I didn't know when I reviewed live backwards.
For one thing, the reason the songs sounded so emo, was because live backwards = EVIL.
And another thing, big choco, is big chocolate, the file name, did not say big chocolate, and that is where someone else screwed up, not me.
I still think this is a concept album, but I know now why the songs were so emo.
Thanks for understanding.

JJ Demon LIVE Backwards Review :)

Okay, so, I asked Zero from FTLD what I should review next, and he said JJ Demon's mixtape, LIVE Backwards. I first heard JJ Demon when I heard What's Good by DDC:). I liked him, so I joined his mailing list and got his song I'm Back, and I was hooked on JJ Demon, I also really like R.I.P. Everybody. But enough stalling, here is my review on live backwards by JJ Demon.
Track one is called  The Rain, and while the lyrics are amazing, the song itself is kind of boring. And is it just me, or does this sound like an anti-religious song? I am not religious so I don't care, and it has the most amazing lyrics, that I don't care that it's boring.
Track two is called Growing Up So Fast and this song sounds more like a typical JJ Demon song. And is it just me, or is JJ Demon making more emo songs while looking less and less emo? I really like this song, and the beat is fantastic!
Track three is called Falling In Reverse featuring Potent Da Rockstar, and I half expected a cameo from Ronnie Radke, and as much as I love this song, I have a few problems with it. First of all, I had a hard time telling JJ and Potent apart, and second, I can hardly understand the chorus. Besides that I love this song. Both verses are great, and the beat is sick.
Track four is called Get Weird, and just from the beginning I knew this was gonna be a super emo song, and the chorus only reinforced that theory. The only part I didn't like was the "Let's go for a riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide" that part was just annoying. This was a good song, and I liked it.
Track five is called Young Hearts and honestly, this is starting to sound more and more like a concept album. I mean, with Growing Up So Fast and Young Hearts, and also, Get Weird and The Rain, these songs fucking connect. This is an okay song, but... it did get a little annoying. Now don't get me wrong, I like this song, but it gets the tiniest bit annoying.
Track six is called Play God, and between the endings connecting to the next song, and all the anti-religious songs, this is starting to sound even more like a fucking concept album. This is a great song and I love how the beat is so electronic, overall, great song. It could offend his christian fans though, oh, wait, what christian fans?
Track seven is called Bugs In My House, and I really don't get this song, I mean it could be a drug song, but I'm just not sure. It sounds like he wrote it while ON drugs. If that's true, then it's pretty good, for a drug song. Maybe it's just too deep for me to understand, but I like it (even though I have no fucking idea what it means!).
Track eight is called I'm In Here featuring Kyle Lucas and Syd Vicious, and I don't think it was a good idea to start a JJ Demon song with another guy rapping. I mean Dr. Dre didn't rap a lot on Kush, but at least he came on first! Then Finally after one long verse of Kyle Lucas, JJ Demon comes on and he ROCKS it!!!!
And the third verse... sucks! It's too gangsta for a JJ Demon song. I mean there's good rhymes in there, but he's yelling and it doesn't go with the soft beat.
Track nine is called 100 Bars Of Awesome Sauce, and I just don't get the name. I like the song and the rapping is great, but I don't get the name. It's just weird. But otherwise, the song is great. But I can't help wondering why there's no chorus. I love the choruses in his other songs, and I just wished there were a chorus in this song.
Track ten is called Purple Flip Flops featuring Big Choco, and this may just be the best song on the album (so far). I love the rhymes, I love the beat, the lyrics are fucking amazing. I dunno who Big Choco is, but I can't hear him on this track, but it's fine without him.
Track eleven is called Like A UFO featuring Mary Magdalan and N!tro, and I don't know who this Mary Magdalan chick is, but she's fucking amazing!!! I wish she has a bigger part. But JJ Demon has an amazing part too!!! And I love all the pop culture dissing. And this is the first time I've ever heard N!tro sing, and I like it (But his rapping is shitloads better!!!).
Track twelve is called Palpitate, and it seems like track ten and up is amazing!!! This isn't as good as Like A UFO, or Purple Flip Flops, but it's still amazing. My only problem is, at times, he raps to fast for me to understand, but that just means he's talented. I like that this song has multiple levels. And the only other problem I have is it gets a little repetitive.
Track thirteen is called Johnny, and I like how he raps so fast, yet it's still good. Fast rapping isn't always good rapping, and good rapping isn't always fast rapping, but this is fast rapping, and it's still good rapping!
The lyrics are good, the beat is okay, and the rhymes are amazing. My problem with this song, is it's too short. I'd like it if it were longer.
The fourteenth and final track is called We're All Dying Anyway, and this has got to be the most emo song on the album besides The Rain. It's good, but kinda boring, compared to Like A UFO and Purple Flip Flops (I know I keep praising those songs, but that's cuz they're the best on the album!!!). The rhymes are good, the lyrics are good, the beat is okay, and it was a good way to end the album.

Now here is a new part of my reviews
SPECS
Best song: Purple Flip Flops and Like A UFO
Worst Song: I'm In Here
Best Guest Apperance: Mary Magdalan on Like A UFO
Worst Guest Appearance: That Gangsta Guy (Syd Vicious?) on I'm In Here
Best Beat: Purple Flip Flops
Best Lyrics: Like A UFO
Best Rhymes: Johnny
Overall Rating: 8/10

Well, another review, done, thanks for reading, hope you liked it. Cya! :)

My Problem with Reverbnation.

So recently I started making music, well... good music.
I've been making music for the past few years of my life, but only recently have I started making good music.
I wanted to upload a song to reverbnation called "This Is One" cuz my band is called One, and I upload it, my best song yet, and what do I get in return? "Your song is over our 8 MB limit"! What the f**k?! I can't upload anything that's longer than 5:30 without getting that message, and this was only 6:14, and I half to pay money, if I want to upgrade to 25 MB limit. F**k them. I can upload my music somewhere else.

My thoughts on brokencydesucks.com and my review of Punchline's Delightfully Pleased.

Okay, so I was looking up Brokencyde on wikipedia, and I read that they beat up some guy for saying they suck, and it turns out this guy was in a band called punchline. He made a website called brokencydesucks.com where he lets you download his album Delightfully Pleased for any price, even $0. He doesn't even say why he thinks Brokencyde sucks!! I think this is just some way to get people to download his album, and all the money donated goes to his medical bills. Brokencyde doesn't suck, believe me, and I'd encourage you not to donate to this guy, but if you really feel bad about donating nothing to a guy who's injured, donate like $1 or $2. Nothing big though. So I decided to review this guy's album, which I downloaded for free. So here it is, my review of Punchline's Delightfully Pleased.
Track 1 is called Seventy and I've never heard Punchline before, but the guys voice, sounds like shit. It sounds like he tried to sound punk... and failed MISERABLY!!! Maybe I'm biased because I love brokencyde, but this doesn't even sound punk. It sounds like a cross between pop and punk, oh, wait, that's what they ARE!!! Besides that the lyrics are just awful, it sounds like he tried to be funny... and failed MISERABLY!!! AGAIN!!!!  That stupid little "You won't find songs of hopelessness on this record", don't try to be funny, cuz you're not, you're just a loser trying to sell an album, that sucks so far.
The second track is called The Reinventor and it sounds nothing like the first track, actually, it sounds wimpier, and like a wuss wrote it. I sounds like the missing link between emo and punk. Too hard rock to be emo, but too wussy to be punk. I miss the old days of punk like the Sex Pistols, back when punk wasn't wimpy, back when punk was punk. Anyway this song (The Reinventor) has the stupidest lyrics that make no frickin sense at all. It's just a stupid song.
Track three is called 21 Forever and is it just me, or did they copy the idea for this song from Metro Station? I know you Punchline fans will be like "NO! Metro Station copied Punchline"! Well, Metro Station's single came before this song, so ha-ha! The lyrics of this song make no sense except for the chorus, and even that's a stretch. Now I know all you Punchline fans are gonna be like "Well maybe his lyrics are too deep for you to understand!" well, no, these lyrics aren't deep, or thoughtful, they're just stupid.
Track four is called Greatest. Party. Ever., and if you're gonna hate on Brokencyde because you don't like their songs's messages, then you don't go making a song about partying, which is Brokencyde's thing, PARTY SONGS!!! This sounds like a wussy, wimpy, whiny pop version of a Brokencyde song, at least with Brokencyde, they're in your face about it, not wimpy. And again, these lyrics are just stupid! the only upside is that they actually make sense. At least with Brokencyde their lyrics make sense, and aren't just some random words piled together.
Track five is called Roller Coaster Smoke and it is soooooooo wimpy. This is probably one of the longest songs on the album, and that is torture for me cuz it sucks! But I have to listen to the whole thing if I want to give a fair review. I will admit it has some of the best lyrics I've heard so far, but that means nothing if the music and they way they're sang sucks.
Track six is called Into The Mouth and it starts out with this stupid thing where they sing one line, and everything stops for 2 seconds, and it's like that for half the song!!! This is a really short song, and I think they were just getting lazy by then. I know when I'm tired I get lazy, maybe they were tired of sucking.
Track 7 is called Whatever I Want, Whenever I Want, and it is sooooooooooooooooo wimpy. And that stupid high pitch voice in the beginning is so annoying. And what bugs me even more, is this is the punk type of message, yet, it's one of the least punk songs on the album!!! Are they punk, or are they pop?! I guess they can't make up their frickin mind. This song's lyrics could be punk, but they're sung like a wussy pop song.
Track 8 is called Keystoned and this is more punk sounding than the last one but the lyrics soooooooooooo much wussier and at one point they're just spewing random nonesense. I don't know how much more I can take of this stupid album, but I half to review the whole thing. *Sigh* this could be a long night.
Track 9 is called No Significant Other, and, it's a really stupid break-up song, and I usually love break-up songs, but this is just stupid. You're not supposed to sound happy, in a break-up song!!! The lyrics are equally as stupid as the music, and who the f**k is this Veronica chick he mentions at the end of the song? Is that his ex? Cuz if I were his ex I sure as hell wouldn't take him back after he recorded a wussy song like that.
Track 10 is called Coyotes In B Major (Awful Title), and it's definitely one of the better songs on the album, because it's meant to be funny, and it is. I like it the most out of the 1st 10 tracks, there, happy?
My problem is the last line "And this could never happen again, Unless it happens again". That is the stupidest ending line ever, what the f**k does it even mean?!
Track 11 is called A Universal Theme and it seems like it's saying "You can change the world", a stupid message for a punk band. I will admit the music part is okay, but the lyrics are shit. I do not like this stupid band, I do not like it Sam I Am.
Track 12 is called The Spinning Of The World, and what do ya know, it's got electronic elements in it, *sigh* NOT PUNK!!! ELECTRONIC IS NOT PUNK!!!! I can't even find the lyrics to this song, so this song can't be popular, probably cuz it SUCKS!!! I don't understand how these guys are popular, and I ABSOLUTELY can't understand how they're more popular than Brokencyde.
Track 13 (Thank god it's the last one) is called Nature Of the Game and the lyrics sound like something a 10 year old with no talent could write (but, then again, so do a lot of these lyrics), all I can say is, a terrible end, to a TERRIBLE album.
Well, another review in the bag, I got a little lazy at the end, but then again, this whole album was lazy. Overall, I'd give this a 3 out of 10, and that's being unbiased. Oh and Brokencyde is AWESOME!!!! Cya!

Dot Dot Curve :) Smiley Mixtape Review

Hey guys, I'm back with another review.
Now DDC recently came out with a new mixtape called Smiley mixtape, and I downloaded it, and there were only 7 tracks, it looks more like an EP compared to Sick Sense Of Humor. But I decided to review it, so here is, my review on Smiley mixtape.
Track 1 is called David Banner, and I love this song. It sounds a lot like old DDC, even with Young Chi rapping, it reminded me a lot of old DDC, but there's one thing I don't get... the name. David Banner, as we all know, is the true identity of the incredible hulk. But then I thought... maybe, they mean the rapper David Banner. But who freaking knows.
The second track is called Fly Free Ft. Nitro and being that this song is mostly Nitro, I expected a lot from Nitro, and he was good, but the downside of that is, Spanky only appears twice on the song, and it's to scream the chorus, it's not that I don't like screaming, it's just I'd like to hear more from Spanky. Also, this song seems a lot shorter than it really is because of the long intro.
Track 3 is called Freak Geek With Stretched Out Earlobes and the screaming at the beginning already makes this a good song. I love this song because it's mostly screaming, and I'm glad it's mostly screaming, because when Spanky does start rapping, it sounds like crap. And is it just me, or are DDC songs getting longer?
Track 4 is called Glass of Orange Juice and I love how it starts with an intro and then gets straight to the screaming. This kind of screaming reminds me a lot of Your Ears Will Bleeping Bleed, and that's a compliment in my book. I love this song because it reminds me of their second album except without Jayreck, whether he's better or worse without Jayreck, I don't know, that's for you to decide, but I love this song.
Track 5 is called Out The Park, and this one got straight to the screaming. I'm already starting to like this mixtape better than I'm Still Here. I can't understand the Chorus, but that's an improvement because I like not being able to understand the lyrics of the chorus, cuz that's the DDC I grew up listening to. The difference between me and some other people is I didn't stop listening to DDC after Jayreck left and Spanky changed his style a bit, and it sounds like all the people who stopped listening to DDC are missing the f**k out!!!!
Track 6 is called Tats On My Face and this one looks like the shortest one on the album. I don't like how he's half screaming half rapping cuz it sounds like crap. It's got a nice beat though, and also, did he have a falling out with Young Chi somewhere along the line, cuz he's only in one song on this album and in this song he says, fuck everybody else. WTF?!?
The last track is called Wobble and I don't like how it doesn't start out with screaming but when he does scream it sounds great!!! I guess there has to be a different type song on this mixtape, after all, there's only 7 tracks on the album. To be honest this song is really annoying. I can't believe I listened to a whole 6 minutes of it but I had to to give a fair review. Besides the screaming this song is really annoying. So I finally get a DDC song longer than 5 minutes, and it's soooooooo annoying, thanks Spanky, you really made my day.
Well, that's another review, overall, I'd give this a 9 out of 10. The only reason it's not 10 out of 10 is because   Wobble sucks. Thanks for reading, cya

Forever The Living Dead - I'll Never Be Mainstream EP Review [Requested by Ricki :)]

Hey guys, I'm back with another review for you,
So, I was talking with Ricki from Forever The Living Dead, and he asked me to review his EP, and I was glad to, cuz I've been waiting to review this for a long time, so Ricki, this one's for you.
The first track is an intro called Lost In The Dubs, I don't really know if that name is supposed to be related to the fact that something is sampled in this song, but I like it. This would be good to dance to, but it probably doesn't take a lot of work to sing, because the band members don't sing in it. I'm not going to say it's lazy though because it was really sweet.
The second track is called So Gone featuring Forever Famous, and I don't know what it is with crunk bands and the word forever but this is just ridiculous. On a different note, the song is f**king awesome!!!! It's my favorite FTLD song, just because it's so awesome, and it's awesome because the beat is sweet, and the rap isn't crap, because it's awesome!!!!!!!
The third track is called E.P.I.C., and at first I didn't know what the name meant, but then I heard him say "Engaging People In Chaos" and I'm like, oh yea... E.P.I.C., Engaging People In Chaos. I heard an unfinished version of this song and it was missing a verse but all I have to say about the new verse is it's awesome. Am I the only one who gets slightly annoyed with how many times they say E.P.I.C.? And are the lyrics just too deep for me to understand or just stupid, cuz I couldn't understand the meaning behind them if there was any.
This song sounds like something Blood On The Dance Floor would make, but I still love it.
The fourth track is called So Hate Us, I'd never heard this before today and you're probably thinking "Michael, what do you think of this new FTLD song, so hate us?" Well, I like it. It's not as good as So Gone, but better than track 5 (which I will get to), I really don't have all that much to say about this song, besides it's really good.
The fifth and final track is called Throw Em Up, and I don't give many bad reviews, because I wouldn't buy something I didn't like, and I liked this EP, but as a reviewer anything I review may get criticism, and I just didn't like Throw Em Up. It wasn't boring, but I just thought it wasn't the kind of FTLD song I love. It was a bad way to end the EP. If I were FTLD I would've at least made an outro so I didn't have to end it with Throw Em Up. It's not a horrible song, just not an ending song.
Well, that's another review, this EP had it's ups and downs but all in all I'd give it a 9 out of 10, if for no other reason than 4 of the 5 songs were great. Cya :)

My Gift To You - Escape The Fate Self Titled Album Review!!!

Okay guys, let me just say one thing first, read my Brokencyde review, you will be able to tell how tired I was from just reading it. I wanted to give you something to show you I'm going to try harder now, so here it is, my review of ETF's self titled album.

*Note: Let's get one thing straight before I start, no Craig hating, or you will have made an enemy.

Track 1 is an intro called Choose Your Fate and it builds up really well. I liked it, and that's not all I'm gonna say. I liked how dark it was, it's got sorta a scary tone, and it should with all that makeup.
Track 2 is called Massacre and it's one of the only tracks with any screaming, and I like Craig's screaming, and well, let's face it, Ronnie was a terrible screamer. I love the chorus to this song!!
Track 3 is called Issues, and it was the first official single off the album, but the first song leaked, I think was massacre. Now, don't get me wrong, this IS a great song, but it's soooooo short! I mean couldn't they have made it longer somehow? But all criticism aside, this is a great song.
Track 4 is one of my favorites, called Zombie Dance, I love the part where Craig goes "We're already dead x4" That part is awesome!! It's the one song that mentions "a dead masquerade" Which was the name of their tour!
Track 5 is called Gorgeous Nightmare and I heard this song on the radio the other day, and I have a new love for this song. I think that Craig is terribly underrated, especially when I hear songs like this! F**k Craig haters, he's a f**king great singer, and a better screamer than Ronnie ever was... EVER!!
Track 6 is called City Of Sin, and between this and Issues, there are a lot of short songs on this album! But this is an amazing song!! Too bad they didn't play it when I saw them live. :(
Track 7 is called Day Of Wreckoning, and I think this could be my favorite song on the album (tied with The Aftermath [G3])!!! I like the chorus, I like the verses, I like everything about it!!
Track 8 is called Lost In Darkness and it starts out soft, but then it gets better, then softer, than better, etc.
Track 9 is called Prepare Your Weapon and it's really, and I mean, REALLY heavy metal!!! Along with Massacre, City Of Sin, Day Of Wreckoning, and The Aftermath (G3), this is one of the only songs with screaming. All criticism aside, this is a great song!!!
Track 10 is called World Around Me, and you're not gonna believe this... you ready for this... IT'S A SOFT SONG!!!! I keep expecting it to pick up, like an ordinary ETF song, but it DOESN'T!!! I don't like it, sorry ETF!
Track 11 is one of my favorites, it's called The Aftermath (G3) which happens to be the last song. It probably has the most screaming of any song on this album, and I'd expect that, being that it's one of the Guillotine saga. This is a great song, and a great way to end the album, I love it!!!
Well, another review, wrapped up, hope you enjoy this one more than the Brokencyde one. And Craig haters, go see ETF live, without Ronnie, they're amazing, no matter who you love, they're great!!! And you're gonna hate him even more for this, but they played Situations, and did GREAT!!!
Cya!

Addressing my last review.

Hey guys,
Remind me never to make a review in the middle of the night again.
My Brokencyde review probably isn't the best, because I was f**king tired when I wrote it.
I apologize for it not being the best, and I promise, the next one will be better.
Thanks

DJ Sku Presents Brokencyde Vol. 1 Review

Hey Guys, welcome to Part 2 of my Crunk review.
This is a review of Brokencyde's new shit. Enjoy.
Track 1 is called Breaking Point. The intro part is really funny. It's a pretty sick song, and I really like it. Sorry I didn't have more to say about it, I'm just really tired and I'm getting lazy cuz of it.
Track 2 is called Haterz Make Us Famous, and aint that the truth! It's got a pretty sick beat, and the vocals are AWESOME!!! So haterz, if you don't want BC13 to be famous, don't pay any attention to them!
Track 3 is called Skream, and it's pretty cool. It starts out just rapping, which is weird for a song called Skream. And finally at 0:50, we get some skreaming!!
Track 4 is called Fofo's, and it's really short... but good!!! It's got a lot of screaming for a 1 minute 27 second song.
Then there's a skit that ties in with it. The skit is kinda annoying.
Track 6 is called Around The World, and it's pretty good. It's pretty hip hop, and I'm not sure when the screaming comes in.
Track 7 is called Fall Back and it's really cool, I like it, because it's got a lot of attitude. It's got some cool screaming, and when he screams, he SKREAMS!!
Track 8 is called  Prank Call Skit and it's f**king funny!! It's so funny, I literally laughed my a** off.
Track 9 is called In Love With Da Game I think it's kinda boring. That's just my opinion, I just don't like it.
Track 10 is called Skit, and it's really short.
Track 11 is called Pothead, and it's another drug song. I mean I like Brokencyde drug songs, but I'm getting kinda sick of them. I still like them, but I'd like to hear some other types of songs.
Track 12 is called Sorry We're Not Slayer Skit, and it's basically about them not being a band, but being a hip hop "GROUP".
Track 13 is called So Punk-Rock, and I like it because there's a LOT of screaming. This is what I like about this EP that I didn't like about I'm Still Here... there's a LOT of screaming!!
Track 14 is called AM, and I'm not really into it, it's kinda too dancey. I'm not into too much dance-pop stuff.
Track 15 is called 2Night and it's really good!!! It's a good song, and I like it, I'm sorry I don't have more to say.
Track 16 is called I'm the king, and this is a great way to end the album, because there's a lot of screaming and it's really good,
Well, another review wrapped up, I'm sorry if this way too short, or it wasn't my best review, but I was very tired when I wrote this, and I'm very eager to go to bed. Goodnight!

Amongst The Reckage - Vader Skillz Review

Hey guys,
This is part 1 in my 2 part review of the 2 new crunk albums I haven't reviewed yet.
Part 1 is the first release from Jayreck's new band, Amongst The Reckage, called Vader Skillz.
I'm expecting highly of this, because it's Jayreck's first release since leaving DDC, and I already gave DDC a good review, so I'm expecting just as highly of this.

Track one is called YerGonnaDie and the first thing I noticed when I looked at the track listing for this album, is that none of the tracks have spaces. I'll let it pass, Jayreck probably just has a problem with his spacebar, but back to the song. And it is the f**king weirdest intro I've ever heard. I don't get what message they're trying to get across. *Whispers* Wait, what? The message is YerGonnaDie? Well goodbye guys!
Track 2 is called TakeMeToYourLeader, and it is f**king AWESOME!!! It's mostly screaming, okay scratch that, all screaming, yet, for some reason, I can't get enough of it!!
Track 3 is called DevilHorns, and it's pretty cool. My only problem is it's kinda repetitive. Other than that it's great! I just would've made it less repetitive.
Track 4 is called WhatYouFear, and it is really awesome!! It's like a song for anyone who feels hated, who feels alone, who feels like nothing is good enough for anyone else. Thank you Jayreck!
Track 5 is called VaderSkillz and it starts out kinda boring, but it gets better, and by the end of the song, you'll be begging for more, and... do I hear a DDC song reference? The lyrics "You can call me crunkatron"? Tell me that's not a reference to the DDC song Krunkatronic!
Track 6 is called RunRed, and it's really sick!! I don't really get what it's about though. But who the f**k cares?! Not me! It's still f**king awesome!!
Track 7 is called DropZone and it's weird, because there's no real lyrics, and the vocals it does have is just noise.
Track 8 is called DanceBeforeDoomsday Ft JJ Demon. I like it, and JJ Demon's part is okay, but it's not as good as his part in Fresh 2 Death Remix, but it's still better than the appearance he has in I'm Still Here (Go Forever The Living Dead!!)
Track 9 is called The Dark Side Of The Force, it's a really sick song, and it's the first song with spaces in the name. It's awesome!! I love it!!
Track 10 is called No Hands, it's a remix, and seeing how bad this remix is, I can't imagine how bad the original is.
Track 11 is called Dro, and the first thing I noticed is it has lyrics from 420 on the DDC mixtape. I remembered, Oh Em Gee! These are the lyrics from 420, and this is a pretty sick song!! I don't do drugs, but the songs about drugs are pretty awesome (StonerBoySwag!!)
Track 12 is called tsixEoDsneilA, and it's AliensDoExist backwards, everything in this track is backwards, so I reversed it, and it's basically interviews with people who saw aliens.
Track 13 (and the last track), is called CrazyInsane=X and it's probably the best song on the album! I loved it!!! So sick!!
Well another review wrapped up, in all I would give this a 9 out of 10.
Stay tuned for part 2, where I review DJ Sku Presents Brokencyde Vol. 1

Forever The Living Dead - Shorty You're My One Mini Review

Hey guys,
So I recently got in touch with Ricki from Forever The Living Dead, and he asked me to review his new single.
So I said okay. I listened to the demo of this song and it was different from many other crunk songs out there. It was softer. And it was more meaningful than a lot of rap songs out there. It came straight from the heart from the sound of it, and occasionally, I like a song like that. It was not as fast as other crunk songs, so I was getting the feeling that it might be boring at the beginning, but it was far from boring. It was a touching song. My only problem is, him referring to his true love as "shorty" at first made me imagine he was referring to a midget girl, but then I thought, "open your mind Michael" and those thoughts just went away. It's a very sweet, touching song, and I like it. 8 out of 10.

Dot Dot Curve :) I'm Still Here Review!!!

Dot Dot Curve has been my favorite band for over 2 years now. They started out with a lineup of just Spanky. Then Jayreck joined. For the most part they always played crunkcore, but then Jayreck left, and they released a music video for the song, Fruit Rolled Up. This song represented a major change in DDC's song style, because ordinarily, DDC made crunkcore stuff, but this could only be described as hip hop. If you're like me, you wanted to know what the rest of the album was gonna be like. So I pre-ordered the new DDC album on may 2nd, and it should have shipped may 24th, but it didn't ship, and so I finally got fed up and cancelled the order. I just went and bought it at Hot Topic.
So here, finally, is my review of Dot Dot Curve's I'm still here.
The first track is an intro called Yur Kidding. It's basically some guys (presumably DDC playing other guys), smoking and talking about how much DDC sucks, which reminds me a lot of the intro to Till The Wheels Fall Off, which was called Hanh!. Anyway, a good intro to the album, which ties in with the first song.
The second track on the album is a song called We Nice, and man, it is good to hear some screaming after hearing nothing new by DDC but Fruit Rolled Up since the announcement of the album. Pop Off was good, but it doesn't really count, since it's not on the album.
The third track is called Koolaide and it's good, and it reminds me a lot of the original DDC, y'know, aside from Young Chi being on the new album. My argument that this is better than Fruit Rolled Up, is that it's not strictly about drugs. I don't know why, but this song makes me want to drink Koolaide, in hopes that it will make me as cool as Spanky.
The fourth track on the album is Fruit Rolled Up, a drug rap, and the first new song DDC released since Your Ears Will Bleeping Bleed. This track was very different from anything on Till The Wheels Fall Off, or Your Ears Will Bleeping Bleed, because DDC went from making songs with all screaming like This Is Halloween, to a song with all rapping. Before this song, the only songs they had about drinking or drugs, were Spoon Full Of Sugar, and Stoner Boy Swag, but now they've had a lot more songs about drugs. Personally, I liked the days of mostly screaming better, but this was still an okay song.
The fifth track on this album is a song called What The Future Holds featuring Potent Da Rockstar, and honestly, for a song that's mostly rap... it's REALLY good. There's barely any screaming though and it's kinda weird, like it's been edited.
The sixth track on the album is a prelude called Titty Milk, and it's about a guy at Hot Topic, looking for the new DDC cd, like me! :) Only difference was, he didn't like it.
The seventh track on the album is called Shake Your Titties Featuring J Bigga, and for a song about shaking titties, it's pretty good. I like it mainly because J Bigga is in it, and because the song is mostly J Bigga, other than that, the song really doesn't stand out that much, but it's good.
The eighth track on the album is called Gigga Dee. The song is great! The only thing I didn't like about it is that Spanky needs to brush up on his horror movie history. He says "I can chop and screw you like Freddy with my machete". Get a clue Spanky, Freddy has knives for fingers, Jason carries a machete. I know, I know, it rhymes, but being a horror movie fan, I absolutely HAD to point that out.
The ninth track on the album is called Stop, Drop And Roll Featuring JJ Demon. It's a pretty good song, but I don't like JJ Demon's part. I can't say why, but I just don't like it.
The tenth track on the album is called I'm Weird, and if Spanky had proved anything to me in this album, it's that, one, you can change your style a bit, and not be a sellout, AND that you can be weird AND AWESOME!! It's a really good song, and yes Spanky, you are a weirdo, but you're still my favorite!!
The eleventh track on the album is called Take A Nap, and it is my favorite song on the album because of all the screaming! It's a f**king awesome song, and Spanky has proved to me that he is still hardcore!!!
The last real song is a freestyle by Young Chi called YCB Notes. YCB I'm assuming means Young Chi Baby. It was good, but I would like to see a freestyle from Spanky in their next album.
The last track is an outro called You're Snoring ZZZ, and I don't know what to think of it, because basically, I don't understand what was going on.
Well, that wraps up my review of Dot Dot Curve :)'s third album I'm Still Here. Thank you for reading, and be sure to keep up, for a new review may be coming soon.

Review of Nostradamus by Judas Priest

Hey guys,
This is my first album review, so I thought I'd start out with something metal.
Today I will be reviewing Nostradamus by Judas Priest, released in 2008
The first track, and the intro to the album is called Dawn Of Creation. It is very boring at first, but then you can see how it ties in to the next track
THEN, we get to the metal. Track 2 is called Prophecy. It's got a pretty nice guitar riff, but not as fast as I would like. And boy, Rob Halford at age 59... can STILL scream like he's 23!!!!!! They play this song live a lot, probably because it's GOOD! In closing "I AM NOSTRADAMUS!".
The third track is called Awakening and boy, was it BORING! It was only fifty-three seconds so there's not much to say. It being so short and so soft, is why it's boring.
The fourth track is called Revelations, and I'm soooooooo glad they put this song after Awakening, because it really picks up after the boringness of Awakening. It's very dark, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! 'Nuff said.
The fifth track is called The Four Horsemen. I've heard this song a million times, and I love it. I guess after a while a song just grows on me. The lyrics go well with the song it's introducing. "Peace on earth no more"
The sixth song on the album, and the first single, is called War. I can't tell you how many songs I know called War. However, this is better than the rest. It rocks!!! Watch the music video, it looks like Judas Priest playing Second Life.
The seventh song is called Sands Of Time, which ironically, was the name of the new Prince Of Persia movie. It's another intro. All I can say is it ties in with the next song.
The eighth song on the album is called Pestilence and Plague, it rocks. The chorus is in another language, but in the end they translate it into " Into temptation, in search of glory, the price we pay, the fall of man".
The ninth track marks the first time on the album two real songs come in a row. It's called Death. It is the longest song on disk 1, being that it is seven minutes thirty-four seconds long. The intro is gonna give me nightmares, and the song is haunting as hell. It rocks, and guess what, MORE SCREAMING!!!! YAY!!!!
The tenth song on the album is called Peace. It starts soft, then gets louder, then soft again, but it still finds time to tie into the next song.
The eleventh song is called Conquest, and after this, there are two more real songs (real meaning, not just intros). AND, it's the first real song less than five minutes, weighing in at four minutes, forty-two seconds. It rocks, and I like it, even though it's kinda slow.
The twelfth song on the album is called Lost Love, and it's probably the most boring song on the album. I really don't have much to say about it except... GET TO THE METAL!!!!!
Well, The Metal God, Rob Halford must've heard my prayers, because... I GOT METAL!!!!!
The thirteenth song on the album and the last song on disk one is called Persecution, and it rocks like hell!!!!!!! Just six minutes, thirty-four seconds of the metal gods answering my metal prayers.

Welcome back. Now I am going to review disk two of Nostradamus by Judas Priest.
The first track (14th overall on the album) is called Solitude, and being that it's called "Solitude", I expected it to be boring and...
I WAS RIGHT!!!! 'Nuff said.
The fifteenth track (second on disk 2) is called Exiled, and to me, it actually sounded like it came from Nostradamus himself. If they do a film, Rob Halford is playing Nostradamus! This was so heartfelt, and even thought it was slow, it rocked!!!
Again two real songs come in a row. The sixteenth track is called Alone and it is the second longest song on the album, at seven minutes, fifty seconds. It starts out boring, but then we get to the rock!!! Although it goes on and off, slow to rock... A LOT!!! But the best thing about this song... MORE ROB HALFORD SCREAMING!!!!
The seventeenth track is called Shadows In The Flame, and it's gonna give me nightmares. It's f**king scary!!!!!
Then we get to some metal!!! The eighteenth song is called Visions, and it is f**king metal!!!! It has an awesome guitar riff, thanks to the Downing/Tipton crew (DAMN KK DOWNING FOR LEAVING!!!!!!!!!)
Oh, and the chorus is awesome!
The nineteenth track on the album is called Hope, and it's really boring!!! I don't have anything to say about it, sorry.
The twentieth song on the album is called new beginnings, and it's definitely the gayest song on the album (thanks a lot Rob Halford)! Just joking, but it does suck (but not as much as lost love)!!!
The twenty-first track on the album is called Calm Before The Storm, and it's another boring intro.
The twenty-second song on the album (and the second to last), is the title track, Nostradamus!
It rocks!!!! Believe me, it ROCKS!!!! And the best part, EVEN MORE ROB HALFORD SCREAMING!!
I love this song, and have since I heard it, except for one thing... the fifty-four second intro. I think they just made that to prolong the end of the song, because it's so boring. Without the intro, it would be five minutes, forty-five seconds! That's fifty-four seconds of boringness out!!! All criticism aside, this is an AMAZING SONG!!!
The last song on the album is called Future Of Mankind, and it is the longest song on the album at eight minutes, thirty seconds!!! This is probably one of the most metal songs on the album, not that the other songs aren't metal. It is a bit slow though. But this is one of the best songs on the album, even though it's extremely long. Does anyone else think they planned to make the last song on the album the longest?

Well, that's a wrap, thanks for reading and JUDAS PRIEST FOREVER!!!!
